Crisis Intervention through Case Management

People who have experienced trauma are often unable to function normally because of stress, fear, or lack of support. We can help secure a safe and stable environment and provide food, shelter, and clothing, with the goal of returning to a normal life.

Our staff can connect families with social services and help with food, clothing, and emergency shelter. We can guide survivors through the criminal justice system, and make sure they have a safe and stable environment.

Domestic Violence

The Domestic Violence case management teams at Springboard work with individuals of all ages impacted by intimate partner violence.  The Domestic Violence team offers short and long-term case management, which can include safety planning, court accompaniment, legal advocacy, referrals for counseling, emergency temporary shelter, connection to community resources, support groups, and a safe space to process.  The Domestic Violence program seeks to empower victims and survivors of intimate partner violence to move towards safety and self-sufficiency.

Child Abuse

A longtime leader in the treatment of emotional trauma, Springboard partners with the local Child Advocacy Centers (CAC) in  Carroll, Harford, and Howard counties, to provide on site services to minimize the stress on both children and families. CACs are child-focused facilities where representatives from law enforcement, child protection, criminal justice, mental health, medical health, and victim advocacy work together to conduct interviews and make team decisions about investigation, treatment, management, and prosecution of child abuse cases.

Trauma-focused Therapy

Springboard Community Services offers inclusive therapy services focused on trauma recovery for individuals and families. Our trauma-focused therapy provides compassionate counseling and support for survivors of abuse and sexual assault, helping them navigate their healing journey. We understand that each survivor’s experience is unique, and our skilled therapists are dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for healing. Through our therapy services, we aim to empower survivors to reclaim their lives and build resilience as they move forward.

Family Violence Project

The Family Violence Project provides crisis intervention services with a focus on safety planning, coordination of both short-term and long-term services, support with the criminal justice process, and follow-up trauma-informed care for survivors of crime and family violence.

This comprehensive, regional program offers a range of services to support individuals impacted by trauma, helping them transition from crisis and vulnerability to safety, self-sufficiency, and stability.
