You are not alone.

Springboard Community Services’ Violence Intervention programs are dedicated to breaking cycles of abuse and providing essential support to survivors of domestic violence and child abuse. We offer a safe, empowering environment where individuals and families can access counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy services. By prioritizing prevention, education, and intervention, our programs aim to foster safer communities and create lasting change for those impacted by violence. With comprehensive support networks and specialized resources, we stand with survivors every step of the way toward healing and resilience.

Domestic Violence

The Domestic Violence case management teams at Springboard work with individuals of all ages impacted by intimate partner violence.  The Domestic Violence team offers short and long-term case management, which can include safety planning, court accompaniment, legal advocacy, referrals for counseling, emergency temporary shelter, connection to community resources, support groups, and a safe space to process.  The Domestic Violence program seeks to empower victims and survivors of intimate partner violence to move towards safety and self-sufficiency.

Child Abuse

A longtime leader in the treatment of emotional trauma, Springboard partners with the local Child Advocacy Centers (CAC) in  Carroll, Harford, and Howard counties, to provide on site services to minimize the stress on both children and families. CACs are child-focused facilities where representatives from law enforcement, child protection, criminal justice, mental health, medical health, and victim advocacy work together to conduct interviews and make team decisions about investigation, treatment, management, and prosecution of child abuse cases.

Family Violence Project

The Family Violence Project provides crisis intervention services with a focus on safety planning, coordination of both short-term and long-term services, support with the criminal justice process, and follow-up trauma-informed care for survivors of crime and family violence.

This comprehensive, regional program offers a range of services to support individuals impacted by trauma, helping them transition from crisis and vulnerability to safety, self-sufficiency, and stability.

Anger Management

Springboard Community Services’ Anger Management groups, part of our Violence Intervention Program, offer supportive group sessions to help individuals learn healthier ways to manage anger and frustration within their relationships. Each session is designed to challenge old patterns of communication, providing practical tools for expressing emotions respectfully and non-abusively. Through a combination of educational materials and open discussions, participants examine their actions, gain valuable feedback, and build skills to respond thoughtfully in difficult situations. Our goal is to empower individuals to foster positive, constructive interactions in their relationships and work toward lasting change.
