Ilene S. Gallner Toller, LCSW-C, believes in creating a welcoming, safe, compassionate, collaborative environment to help empower clients be the person/couple they want to become. She has over 40 years of experience working with individuals and couples utilizing a client centered, strengths based, trauma informed approach to therapy. She has training in EMDR, IFS, mindfulness and various expressive/somatic therapies. She is committed to helping clients heal so they can handle life’s challenges from a secure, grounded, clear perspective. Ilene sees clients virtually and in person at our Howard County location.

She has two years of experience working with children, teens, and adults navigating concerns like depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and life transitions. Franki is passionate about helping clients understand themselves better and feel more in control of their behaviors and relationships. Franki works collaboratively with clients to support changes in how they respond to challenges and relate to themselves and others. Request an AppointmentJacob Dugan, is a graduate of University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Social Work holding an LCSW-C license. They take a collaborative and holistic approach, working to help clients build understanding of their unique identities and create skills/strategies to address needs. They work primarily with adolescents and adults that are members of the LGBTQ+ community and/or neurodivergent populations who are experiencing anxiety, depression, or exploring life transitions and self/identity exploration. They utilize an eclectic approach combining methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic approaches, and motivational interviewing to help clients understand themselves and their situation. They are passionate about finding the right approach to help clients explore themselves, their situation, and their unique needs in order to empower clients to achieve success in their daily lives. Her approach is collaborative and conversation-based, allowing clients to openly explore difficult or heavy topics at a pace that feels safe and manageable, without the need to filter their emotions. Working with Jocelyn often feels comforting and engaging, as she believes therapy is a process that requires patience, exploration, commitment, and a strong therapeutic rapport. She works with adolescents and adults, meeting each client where they are and developing individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans that integrate CBT, strengths-based, solution-focused, and creative interventions. Request an AppointmentBethany Ellis is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LCPC)  with a MA from Valparaiso University. She has 10+ years of experience in the mental health treatment world, including outpatient therapy, community based therapy and care coordination, and crisis support. Bethany has experience treating mental health disorders such a mood, anxiety, and trauma related disorders, as well as co-occurring disorders from a trauma-informed perspective.  While in previous jobs, Bethany has continued training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (as well as core competency-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and is certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (for PTSD). Bethany adopts a collaborative approach in individual therapy, focusing on the individual’s own values and goals.

She earned her education at Bowie State and Towson Universities and has dedicated her career to helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship concerns, and emotional regulation. Outside of her work, Cassandra enjoys traveling, is a selective eater, has a fondness for stingrays, and is currently learning how to draw. She is committed to helping clients find balance and resilience in their lives.

With a background in community health work (CHW) and applied behavior analysis (ABA), Amanda has developed a strong foundation in treatment approaches that meet individuals where they are. Specializing in trauma work, she utilizes training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help individuals overcome a range of challenges. Certifications in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), along with specialized training in CBT and support for substance-impacted individuals, enable her to address each person’s unique needs while upholding core values of integrity and empathy.

Jessica received her CAC-AD in addiction counseling and became fully licensed as a licensed professional counselor in August 2016. Jessica has worked in different settings including hospital, outpatient mental health, and inpatient recovery centers. Jessica uses various therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and person centered in her practice. She works with a wide range of individuals with her specialty being assisting teenagers in general and people who have dual diagnosis with mental health and substance addiction.

Jessica has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults facing anxiety, mood, and trauma-related disorders. Deanna has worked in a variety of settings serving children, adolescents, adults, and families. She has experience in helping individuals and families cope with mood disorders, grief and loss, attention deficit disorders, personality disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and behavioral challenges in addition to helping clients manage trauma responses. Â Deanna uses a person centered approach, encouraging and supporting clients in identifying their strengths and developing strategies for using these strengths to achieve their goals.

She works alongside each person to address past wounds and foster a more grounded, empowered present self. Haley has over six years of experience with kids, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, and low self-esteem. Haley is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and thoughtfully integrates a range of therapeutic modalities to meet each client’s individual needs. Request an AppointmentMissy Cougnet is an LCPC at Springboard Community Services and has been a therapist there since 2021. Missy attempts to provide a safe, comforting, non-judgmental environment conducive to growth and healing. She has a background in substance abuse counseling and now specializes in treating children with problematic sexual behavior (PSB-CBT) and individuals needing to process trauma (TF-CBT). In addition to seeing clients at SCS, Missy works part time as the therapist on staff at the Carroll County Children’s Advocacy Center, offering crisis sessions and psychoeducation to both children and caregivers. Missy aims to assist children, families, and individuals in their time of need and is passionate about empowering them to improve their situations and lives. Missy Cougnet sees clients virtually and/or in person at our Carroll County location.

She has over 15 years of experience working with children and families, and in the past three years have expanded my work to include adult populations. Ashley support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and concerns related to identity and self-esteem. Her approach integrates evidence-based methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based therapy, and person-centered techniques to help clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change. Ashley is driven by a desire to help clients feel more empowered, understood, and confident in navigating their lives.
