Empowering Baltimore’s Youth for a Brighter Tomorrow

At Springboard Youth Training Center, we’re more than just a youth service provider; we foster hope and catalyst for change in the heart of Baltimore. Our mission is clear: to empower and uplift the youth of our community through comprehensive support, stable housing, and workforce development opportunities.

In the bustling city of Baltimore, where over 2500+ youth face the harsh realities of homelessness and instability, Springboard Youth Training Center stands as a lifeline and a promise of better tomorrows.

Through a multifaceted approach, we address the immediate needs of our youth while paving the way for long-term success. Our commitment to providing short-term and long-term housing ensures that no young person has to face the streets alone.

But we go beyond just housing; our supportive services offer holistic care, including mental health counseling and
essential life skills training, equipping our youth with the tools they need to thrive. Additionally, our vocational and workforce development programs provide valuable skills and employment opportunities, empowering our youth to build sustainable futures for themselves.

Youth Resource Center

Springboard Community Services’ Youth Resource Center (YRC) provides drop-in assistance to Baltimore’s youth and young adults, aged 14–24 years old. Many of the Youth Resource Center participants are experiencing chronic homelessness, poverty, abuse, neglect, or violence or are victims of trafficking.

These young people are striving for the stability of a home, safety from the streets, and support in obtaining crucial connections to services that will move their lives forward. As a drop-in center, the Youth Resource Center does not offer overnight accommodations.

The Youth Resource Center staff, in coordination with partner agencies, helps clients gain stability and address crisis situations. Participants are offered access to behavioral health care, case management, housing navigation, classes and workforce development.

They are also offered access to essential items, including food, baby/toddler items, clothing, hygiene/toiletry items, and laundry/shower facilities.

The YRC is staffed by an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, YRC Manager, Peer Counselors, Housing Navigators, Case Managers, and Therapists.
